The history of our company began in 1987 in a video studio called S-Video, where we first came into contact with electronics at a professional level.
In 1991, we decided not only to work with electronics, but also to sell it, which at the time was rather bold, in the eyes of some people, almost impossible.
The first smaller business operation was opened in April 1991 in Bratislava under the name TPD. This abbreviated name originated from the phrase Goods For Household. The products sold were exclusively from the Slovak manufacturer of white goods - Calex Zlaté Moravce. From the very beginning we are one of the best consumer electronics retailers in Slovakia. As the supply of goods and customer demand grew, space was insufficient. Therefore, in 1995 we decided to build and open a new, larger store with better quality services.
Gradually we became leaders in the Slovak market, we enjoyed the work, customers liked to go to our new shop for quality goods and services. Therefore, we decided to expand to Central Slovakia. New TPD stores were opened in Zvolen, Lučenec, Martin, Liptovský Mikuláš, Žiar nad Hronom and Žilina.
Thanks to the long-term and high-quality work of all TPD employees, which has won many customers, our company was able to open the third largest shopping center in Petržalka (city district of Bratislava) in September 2002 with the same name TPD. In the premises of the new shopping center, the largest electro in Slovakia “MultiElektro TPD” was created, which offers a huge selection of electronics and services and has not yet been humbled by the range of products or the size of other electricity in Slovakia. At the same time, the shopping center opened operations for the sale of household goods, such as lighting fixtures, furniture, built-in wardrobes, plastic windows, home accessories, as well as interior studio, door studio, floor and services.
TPD significantly contributed to the recognition of the Samsung brand in Slovakia. Samsung Audio / Video products, televisions, washing machines and small appliances were first introduced to the Slovak market from 1998 to 2005, when they were exclusively imported directly from Korea by TPD, which is still a consumer electronics retailer and is a major partner of Samsung Slovakia. Samsung is currently number one in multiple commodities, with its own representation and manufacturing facility for LCD panels and televisions in southern Slovakia.
In 2004, our company joined the Euronics retail network, which brings together more than 9,400 e-shops across Europe. The EURONICS brand is a guarantee that the customer gets real value for his money, which is not just favorable prices, but above all guarantees a first-class service and professional approach to customers. Today's name of our company Euronics TPD emphasizes the link with European quality, we are a strong partner in the world of electronics.
In 2012, our company took another important step forward. We built and opened a second shopping center in Zvolen, also called TPD. It is located in the Retail Park Zvolen shopping zone, which has a real ambition to become the largest shopping zone in Slovakia.
In 2016, the Euronics network strengthened its position on the Slovak market by entering 31 members of the HOME Elektro network into the Euronics SK network. Euronics currently has up to 77 stores in Slovakia and through this step the brand will ensure significantly better coverage of Slovakia and growth of its market position. Only the Slovakian Euronics network, one of only two Slovak retail outlets, confirms that it is the largest electrical network in Slovakia. Euronics TPD is a stable part of this large Slovak network.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
In 2010, TPD.sk - Internet electro was awarded the title "ShopRoku 2010 in the category of electro", based on the evaluation of real customers on the Heureka portal.
In 2003, 2004, 2007 TPD was awarded the title "Best Multielectro in Slovakia" by the Association of Consumers of Slovakia, which compared many Slovak e-shops.
TPD also received another title - Sample Tax Entity from the Tax Directorate of the Slovak Republic.
TPD does not forget those who need the help of all of us - children from orphanages, for which it received the Friend of the orphanages award from Smile as a gift.
The owners of the company were awarded the Personality of Petržalka in 2003.
